Ministry Intent Statement
My music exists to serve men who have reached the end of themselves and are being confronted with the truth of who they are apart from Christ. I do not create music to entertain, perform, or elevate myself. I create it to testify to repentance, surrender, and transformation through Jesus Christ alone.
My testimony includes pride, living with those who struggle with addiction, sexual sin, broken relationships, and a near loss of my life. I was not rescued by self-improvement, discipline, or insight. I was rescued when I surrendered and submitted my life to Christ. That posture shapes every lyric I write. My songs confront false identity, self-reliance, and religious performance, and they point listeners toward confession, humility, obedience, and grace.
I am mindful that incarcerated men are often carrying shame, anger, and distorted views of strength and worth. My intent is not to validate those distortions, but to challenge them with truth. Redemption does not come from trying harder or proving oneself. Redemption comes from repentance and faith. As Scripture says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
I consider it a responsibility to steward this music carefully. I do not take lightly the influence of words spoken into lives at a vulnerable point. My prayer is that this music would lead men to the foot of the cross, not to themselves, and that it would reinforce the truth that freedom is found in Christ, not in circumstance.
This ministry is an extension of obedience, not ambition. If even one man is led to repentance, surrender, and peace in Christ through this music, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
